To all the cool people I met at Comic-Con I say thank you for the awesome experience you helped create! Over the years my favorite part of the Con is connecting with old friends and making new ones. Maybe I handed you a business card or maybe one of my key chains, but whatever the case, if you are reading this then I’m glad you found your way here. Why? Well, because I want to hear from you!
This website is dedicated to telling the stories of those who have been through rough times as well as being a source of encouragement to those still struggling. While the site is called Nerds In Recovery, it isn’t specifically about the pains of addiction. It is about mental disorders, bullying, loss of a loved one, loneliness, physical illnesses or any other story of the human condition. It is a website dedicated to recovering from life, because we all take our hits in one form or another.
So if this is you and you want to share your story as a way of giving back and encouraging others let me know! If you have an idea for a story or article or anything else I am all ears too. We made some great connections this year, so let’s not waste them.
Also, I will publish some fan fiction, funny stuff and the occasional super cool nerdy stuff. We got to have a little fun right?
Lastly, this year I dressed up as Bubba Fett, the most infamous redneck in the galaxy and I have to say it was a smash hit! It even made the Nerdist News top 10 costumes of day one! Here is the link and hope you enjoyed the Con! Click Here For More Bubba!
